Blackhawk makes quality stuff. I know because I've personally used it hard and it has never failed me. Also, unlike some other manufacturers who price some of their tactical nylon in the stratosphere, there are several examples of tactical nylon within Blackhawk nylon that remain affordable. This high value formula has brought success and allowed expansion into other tactical items such as knives, clothing, holsters, slings, gloves, lighting products (a bit $), and gun accessories. There's lots to see in the expansive Blackhawk 2010 SHOT Show booth and I do my best hitting the highpoints of the gear. But true to the Nutnfancy way, this isn't just a free mike for the manufacturer but a chance to discuss some criticisms, high points, and pricing of the Blackhawk gear as I see it. Our host is Blackhawk's VP of Marketing Terry Naughton and he is knowledgeable on his merchandise and did a good job of fielding the questions, even the tough ones, that I posed. With many of their items Blackhawk, adheres to their original high value formula and lots of their tactical nylon items are as good as any in the world and yet won't break your bank account. Their "Omega Crossdraw" and other vests are still outstanding (although prices have crept up over the years) and they come in excellent colorations (their shade of Desert Earth is the best out there).
